I'm so glad you're here!

I love books and cats! They seem to go together, don't they? I learned these loves from my dear Granny Marg, spending all my childhood summers on her farm and at her cottage, reading piles of books, surrounded by cats. They were magical days that are always with me.

My family and I are animal rescuers. My children were raised with 9 rescue cats and have gone on to become rescuers themselves. Did you know that black cats and dogs are the least adopted color? Please keep that in mind when you are looking to rescue an animal friend!

 

I always wanted to write but only in the last few years have I found the time to do so.  I rediscovered my love of picture books while reading to my children many moons ago. I love and appreciate the magic that illustrations bring to a story.

I was privileged to work with Sara Casilda, illustrator extraordinaire, on both of my books with Clavis Publishing. 

 

What draws me to picture books, other than simple delight, is the endless opportunity to create something wonderful – bringing to life a story waiting to be told.  And, in the process, hopefully creating a book that someone will love and remember forever.
